Halfway There ...

Have you ever felt so frustrated you wanted to give up? I'm sure at some point we have all felt that way right? This year is the gold standard for frustration and mistrust. Can we all agree on at least that?

I realize how negative that is but sometimes you just gotta bring that feeling out into the open and shine a big ol' light on it. The amount of information that has been given to us and then changed and then refuted and then again given to us as truth......the cycle just keeps going. And it makes it so difficult to believe ANY. DAMN. THING. And then other things happen that force us to take a good long hard look at ourselves and how we treat others. It has truly been a scary time and the year isn't over yet.

Personally I'm feeling like I've been in a whirlwind of confusion and negativity and some days it feels like it's never going to end.

Are you feeling this too??? How does that make you feel? (I know I know that's a typical psychoanalytic question but I REALLY want to know.)

Are you feeling like you want to run away? Are you resigned and don't care anymore? Do you just "go with it" and take whatever advice is given and follow it? Do you question everything and ask why? Do you research everything you can find? Are you making a plan to change how you talk, act or react?

Seriously, I want to know. Leave a comment below so we can read about it. Because guess what? I promise you that whatever you are feeling and experiencing, others are doing the very same! You are not alone by any stretch of the imagination! Does that help you feel any better at all? Even just a tiny bit? I hope so. #hopespringseternal

This year has been _________.

I can't even come up with just one word to describe it. Can you? Do we even want to? I've heard some people say that they wish this year would just be over. I may have even said it myself. But then I think about it a little more.

Can you think of any lessons we can take from this year? Can we take those lessons and make something good happen? I believe that challenges are meant to be learning opportunities (we should all be SO SMART after the last 6 months!) so let's think about what we have learned:

  1. Hand washing really is important!!!

  2. You really should stay home when you are not feeling well.

  3. You can do more than you think-seriously-did you think a year ago you could work from home, teach your kids and keep the house semi-clean?

  4. Priorities are not what they used to be especially how you spend your time and who you spend it with.

These are just a few....what can you come up with? Leave your feedback in the comments so we can all share a little positivity....please....we all need it!
